Albania Tourist visa
Overview
The Republic of Albania is a country in Southeastern Europe located on the Adriatic and Ionian Seas within the Mediterranean Sea, known for its cultural heritage and scenic nature of refreshing mountains and sunny beaches.
Some foreign nationals may enter the Republic of Albania visa-free, while citizens of other countries are required to apply for an Albanian visa, regardless of the purpose of their visit. Type “C” Albania Visa grants the right to stay in the country for 90 days within a period of 180 days.
Required Documents for Albania Tourist Visa
- Albania visa application form, completed online, printed and signed
- Photocopy of a travel document valid for at least 3 months of the validity period of the requested visa.
- Passport size photograph less than 6 months old, 47 x 36 mm in size.
- Travel medical insurance documents for the duration of the visa
- In the case of minors under 18 years of age, a statement expressing consent for the trip by the child’s parent or legal guardian.
- Host invitation with a passport copy (if the host is a foreigner, they will also need to present their residence permit in Albania)
- Reservation of transport ticket
- Reservation of accommodation
- Proof of sufficient financial means
- Proof of employment in the country of origin or residence.
Albania Tourist Visa Application Steps
- Fill out Albania Visa Application Form.
Visit e-visa.al the visa application service provided by the Albanian government to create an account. Log in and select the type of visa you want to apply for. Complete the Albania visa application form online and upload the required documents.
- Wait for the resolution.
The Albanian government will evaluate your case and a resolution will be emailed to you. You will receive a tracking number to check the status of your case.
- Pay Albania Visa Fees
If the application is accepted, the applicant will be informed of the fees to be paid and other required procedures to follow.
- Collect your visa
After the visa application is approved, the applicant will be asked to go in person to the corresponding Embassy/Consulate to retrieve their visa.
Albania Tourist Visa Fees
Albania Visa fees are calculated on the basis of reciprocity principles, and the applicant will be duly informed once the visa application has been approved or denied. Visa fees are waived for children up to 6 years old, diplomatic or service passport holders, and humanitarian causes.
Where to Apply
The Albania Visa application procedure is an online procedure through the e-visa service provided by the Albanian government. Once the Albania visa application has been approved, the applicant will be required to go in person to the corresponding Republic of Albania Embassy/Consulate to receive the approved visa.
When to Apply
It is advisable to apply for an Albania visa well in advance of your trip, as many documents may be required (depending on the purpose of your travel) from the various authorities of your country of origin and the Republic of Albania. Albania Tourist Visa Processing Time
The Albania visa processing time is up to 15 days from the acceptance of the application. In some cases, it may take up to 30 days.
For Approved Albania Visa Applications
Albanian visa application is approved once the applicant satisfies the requirements. After the Albania Visa application fee has been paid, the applicant will be instructed to collect their approved visa at the Albanian Embassy or Consulate. At the time of appointment, it is important to bring all the original documents that were uploaded online, the printed and signed Albania visa application form, and the application payment fee invoice.
For Denied Albania Visa Applications
If the foreign national does not satisfy the conditions, the Albanian visa application will be denied. The applicant may then submit a new application after the appeal procedures have ended or 3 months after the date of refusal receipt.
