Thailand Visa Application Steps

• For online e-visa applications

• • Prepare the required documents.

• • Fill out the Thailand visa application form.

• • • Visit the Thailand E-visa website to check if you are eligible to apply for the e-visa.
    • Create an account, if eligible. Follow the instructions on filling out the form.
    • Upload the supporting documents.

• • Submit your Thailand visa application form online.

• • • Applicants will receive an approval confirmation on the email used during account creation.

• For paper applications

1. • Prepare the required documents.

• • Fill out the Thailand visa application form, and attach your passport-sized photos.

• • • Contact the Thai consulate, embassy, or VAC to check if you need to schedule a Thailand visa appointment and how to schedule a Thailand visa appointment.

1. • Submit your Thailand visa application.

• • • Submit the completed and signed Thailand visa application form, and other Thailand visa requirements to the relevant Thai consulate, embassy, or VAC.

• • Pay the visa application fee.

• • Note: Different Thai consulates/embassies/VAC may have different procedures for submitting Thai visa applications. Call the consulate, embassy, or VAC in your country of citizenship or residence to get the most accurate information.

Thailand Visa Fees

• Visa fee for Thai visa application is 1,000 Baht. Please note that visa fees are subject to change without prior notice. All fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the visa application.

Where to Apply

• E-visa applications can be made through the official Thailand e-visa website. Paper Thai visa applications can be submitted to Thai consulates, embassies, or VACs.

Thailand Visa Processing Time

• The processing time for paper applications is from 3 to 5 business days. The processing time for Thai visa applications sent in by mail is also from 3 to 5 business days, excluding the mailing time. However, there are some cases when the processing time takes longer than usual.

For approved visa applications

• Applicants with approved e-visa applications should print the visa and save an e-copy to a mobile device or tablet as it needs to be presented to the officer at Border Control. It is important to check the details on the visa and ensure that they match the information on the passport.
