Malaysia extends visa exemption for Indian nationals until 2026

Malaysia has extended its visa-free entry for Indian citizens until December 31, 2026. The visa exemption was supposed to end on December 31, 2024, but had been extended for another two years. Travellers can stay for up to 30 days per visit.
Home Ministry (KDN) Secretary-General Datuk Awang Alik Jeman said that the decision to extend the visa exemption was in line with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship next year and for the preparations for Visit Malaysia Year 2026. He added that the visa exemption is part of the Visa Liberalization Plan initiative which seeks to boost tourism in Malaysia.
