Morocco Lifts Visa Requirements for Albanian Citizens
On March 1, 2025, the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Albania signed a joint declaration to strengthen their “excellent” relations between the two countries. As part of the declaration, Morocco has announced it will lift visa requirements for Albanian citizens.
Currently, Albanian citizens must apply for a tourist visa, typically valid for three months, for short-term stays in Morocco.
With the visa requirement lifted, Albanian citizens will be able to visit Morocco for short stays without a visa. Morocco is finalizing the details of the visa exemption and remains fully committed to implementing it once the necessary procedures are in place. The Moroccan government hopes this exemption will boost tourism, cultural exchanges, and overall bilateral relations.
The declaration was signed following a meeting between Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nasser Bourita, and the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Mr. Igli Hasani.
The meeting reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to strengthening economic, trade, and cultural cooperation while supporting peace and stability in their respective regions. Notably, Albania reaffirmed its support for Morocco’s autonomy plan regarding the Western Sahara dispute during the meeting.
