UAE Introduces New 90-Day Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa
On February 23, 2025, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced the introduction of a new multiple-entry tourist visa for travelers of all nationalities. This new visa program will streamline travel for eligible applicants by allowing them to apply online without the need for a guarantor or host.
Sheikh Mohammed confirmed in a press statement on Sunday that the UAE will “adopt multiple-entry tourist visas for all nationalities,” adding that “the UAE is a global economic capital. All our decisions will be based on this vision.”
The multiple-entry tourist visa will enable tourists to visit the UAE for up to 90 days at a time, with the option to extend the visa for an additional 90 days bringing the total to 180 days.
Requirements for the multiple-entry tourist visa include:
- Bank statements showing $4,000 (or equivalent in a foreign currency) within the last 6 months.
- Valid health insurance policy.
- Round-trip flight tickets to the UAE.
- Proof of residency for the duration of the trip (e.g. hotel address).
Applicants will also need to provide a color photograph for biometrics, a copy of their passport, and tourist trip program documents. Once applicants have applied online through the official government portal and supplied the relevant documents, they will receive confirmation via email.
It should be noted that travelers eligible for entry without a visa or an entry visa upon arrival do not need to apply for a multiple-entry tourist visa. Furthermore, females under the age of 18 cannot apply for a tourist visa unless they are traveling with their parents.
The UAE hopes that the new visa program will enhance tourism and business for the country in 2025.
