Visa-free entry to Vietnam for nationals of 12 countries until 2028
On March 7, 2025, the Vietnamese government issued a resolution on visa exemptions for nationals from 12 countries.
These countries are Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Russia, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, and the UK.
According to the resolution, the citizens of these countries will not require a visa for a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of their passport type and the purpose of their visit. However, they will need to meet all the entry conditions set by the Vietnamese government.
The visa exemption policy will come into effect on March 15, 2025 and will be valid till March 14, 2028. There is also a possibility for an extension of this policy.
The government’s resolutions No. 32/NQ-CP (March 15, 2022) and No. 128/NQ-CP (August 14, 2023), which outline the list of countries eligible for visa exemption, are set to expire on March 15, 2025.
Additionally, nationals from the Czech Republic, Poland, and Switzerland are also benefiting from visa-free travel to Vietnam under the tourist stimulus program from March until the end of 2025.
