Saudi visa-on-arrival for Hong Kong citizens
Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) passport holders can now apply for a tourist visa upon arrival through six designated control points in Saudi Arabia. The Immigration Department of Hong Kong made this announcement on January 14, stating that the latest changes will be effective from 15 January.
They can choose between two types of tourist visas, namely a single-entry visa for up to 30 days, or a multiple-entry visa for up to 90 days.
Alternatively, Hong Kong SAR passport holders can also apply for an eVisa online before their trip to Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the Immigration Department also announced that the visa-free period for Saudi citizens visiting Hong Kong will be extended from 30 days to 90 days, with effect from 15 January.
A spokesperson from the Immigration Department shared that these arrangements would boost travel convenience and enhance tourism, cultural, and economic ties between the two places.
