China Extends Policy of Reduced Visa Fees for Indian citizens

On the 31st of December 2024, the Chinese Embassy in India announced that the reduced visa application fees will remain in effect for an additional year until December 2025. The initiative to reduce visa application costs was first introduced in 2024 to simplify travel procedures and promote tourism between the two countries.
Currently, eligible Indian citizens can apply for a visa to travel to China for a reduced sum of Rs 2,900 for a single visa and Rs 4,400 for a double-entry visa. The reduced cost of a six-month multiple-entry visa is to be maintained at Rs 5,900, and the 12-month or longer multiple-entry visa will stay priced at Rs 8,800. Group visa applications will continue to be priced at Rs 1,800 per applicant. Finally, the expedited fee will be maintained at Rs 1,800 per application.
These reduced prices will remain in place for Indian citizens applying for a visa at the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi until the 31st of December 2025.
