
Oman Grants Visa-Free Entry to Citizens of Over 100 Countries
Oman has introduced a new visa-free entry policy that allows citizens from more than 100 countries to visit the Sultanate for up to 14 days without a visa.
The move aims to make travel easier for international tourists and help promote Oman as a welcoming destination rich in culture, heritage, and natural beauty. This step also helps boost tourism by removing barriers for short-term visits.
Travelers from across Europe, North America, Asia, and other regions are now eligible to enter Oman without applying for a visa. The list of countries includes:

Citizens of GCC countries, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, are already allowed to enter Oman without a visa.
In addition to the regular visa-free program, Oman has introduced a conditional visa-free policy. It allows entry to select travelers from Asia, Africa, and Latin America who meet certain requirements.
Travelers must hold a valid visa or residence permit from specific countries, which include:
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Canada
- Schengen Area countries
- Australia
- Japan
- Gulf Cooperation Council countries (permanent residents only)
This policy is available to individuals who have already been screened by immigration authorities in the approved countries. It also extends to their spouses and children, even if the family members hold different nationalities from the main visa holder.

Travelers must meet certain entry conditions to use the visa-free or conditional visa-free option. These rules help maintain border security while offering smooth access for short-term visitors.
- The traveler must hold a passport valid for at least six (6) months
- A return ticket must be presented
- Hotel reservations must be confirmed
- Proof of health insurance is required
- The traveler must have enough funds to cover living expenses during the stay
- The allowed stay is 14 days only
- The stay cannot be extended or converted into any type of residence visa
