The Philippines offers Indian nationals visa-free travel starting June 8
Indian nationals will enjoy visa-free travel to the Philippines for up to 14 days, effective June 8, 2025, in an aim to boost tourism arrivals.
On Saturday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) issued a statement that Indian visitors need to present a passport with a minimum validity period of six months past their intended departure, a hotel booking confirmation, proof of financial ability, and a return or onward ticket to their next destination at the border to enter the Philippines.
Additionally, Indian citizens with a valid and current American, Australian, Canadian, Japanese, Schengen, Singapore, or United Kingdom (AJACSSUK) visa or residence permit will be allowed to stay in the Philippines for up to non-extendable 30 days for tourism purposes.
According to the DFA, Indian nationals can enjoy this visa waiver at any port of entry in the Philippines, but cannot extend or convert the visa to another category. To be eligible for the visa exemption, Indian citizens should have a clean record with the Bureau of Immigration.
Even though Indian nationals will enjoy visa-free travel for tourism purposes, they will still require a visa for long-term visits and non-tourism purposes when entering the Philippines.
The DFA said that these individuals should apply for a relevant visa at the nearest Philippine embassy or consulate. Those who are eligible for an e-Visa should apply for one online. The department added that e-visas may not be extended or converted to any other visa type.
