Russia and Jordan to Implement Mutual Visa Exemption From December 13
Russia and Jordan will mutually abolish the visa requirements for citizens with effect from December 13, 2025, according to an announcement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to the Russian diplomatic mission, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan signed an agreement in Moscow on August 20, 2025, to mutually waive the visa requirements for their nationals.
With the new agreement set to come into force later this year, Russian passport-holders will be able to enter and stay in Jordan for up to 30 days per visit, for a maximum of 90 days per year.
Likewise, Jordanian citizens will be able to enter and stay in Russia under the same conditions.
The visa-free arrangement will not permit visitors to engage in paid employment, do business, study, or permanently reside in the other country.
This latest visa policy change is anticipated to boost tourism and strengthen cultural exchange between the two countries.
