Zambia waives visa requirements for 53 countries
To boost tourism and stimulate foreign investment, the government of Zambia has waived visa requirements for citizens of 53 countries to enter the country.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka on December 18, Home Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu said that the measure will be effective from January 1, 2025. This will bring the total number of countries whose nationals can enter Zambia without a visa to 167.
Zambia Tourism Agency Chief Executive Officer Matongo Matamwandi said that the number of tourist arrivals is expected to exceed two million by the end of 2024. He added that as of November 2024, there had already been 1.9 million tourist arrivals.
Here is a list of the 53 countries and territories that will enjoy visa-free entry to Zambia from January 1, 2025:
